Montgomery County Thanksgiving Day Parade

Date & Time: Saturday, Nov. 21st at 10 AM | Location: Downtown Silver Spring

Kick off the weekend before Thanksgiving at the Montgomery County Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown Silver Spring, featuring bright holiday tunes from local marching bands, inflatable parade balloons, fun performances during the parade, and the arrival of Santa!

New this year: Take photos with Elsa from Frozen, a turkey, or next to winter holiday decorations to keep treasured memories of this great event.

The parade starts on Ellsworth Drive and will end at Silver Spring Avenue. Visit the event’s website to learn about parking and road closures.

Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

Dates: Friday, Nov. 20th – Sunday, Nov. 22nd | Location: Gaithersburg

Shop for holiday gifts or purchase treats for Thanksgiving dinner at the annual Sugarloaf Crafts Festival. Artisans will be displaying a variety of wares, from pottery to specialty foods, at this weekend-long event to help kick off the holiday season and provide residents and visitors alike with a delightful experience.

Buying food for Thanksgiving? Here are just a few of the specialty foods that will be on display at the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival:
