December is right around the corner, and that means it’s time to view the winter wonderlands set up around the Bethesda area.
Tour Twinkling Light Displays Throughout the County
There’s nothing like stepping into a brightly illuminated garden or forest during the wintertime, with your breath curling into wispy tendrils as you sip on hot cocoa or cider while the dazzling red, green, and white lights twinkle all around.
But whether you prefer to drive around Bethesda to look at decorated houses or simply stroll through the city’s gardens, there’s something to offer you. Here are just a few “winter wonderland” events happening in Montgomery County.
Date & Time: Nightly until Thursday, December 31st
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
Drive through the state park and find an enchanted forest decked out in holiday decorations that’s an experience worth sharing with friends and family. Different areas of the state park have different themes, including Teddy Bear Land and Victorian Village, each bringing something new.
The Winter Lights Festival also benefits great local charities.
The Annual Bethesda Winter Wonderland
Date & Time: Saturday, December 5th from 1 PM to 4 PM
Location: Bethesda, MD
While not an enchanted forest, the annual Winter Wonderland celebration in Bethesda is a fantastic way to celebrate the season with your friends, family, or community. There will be live performances, a visit from Santa, and so much more!
The Garden of Lights in Brookside Gardens
